Copyright Clearance Center: New Initiatives

Description: With the increasing use of e-reserve and course management systems by public and private institutions of all sizes, the sharing of electronic content has never been easier or more prevalent. This session overviewed findings from a recent survey conducted by CCC on the reuse of text-based copyright content on campus in both paper and electronic format. In addition, CCC provided an overview of three new initiatives—Rightsphere, Rightsconnect, and The Annual Copyright License for Academic Institutions —that help make it convenient for content users to search for and obtain copyright permissions.
