Description: How do university presses recruit, hire, and retain student and part-time help? How much and what type of work can be entrusted to students? How much training time should be invested in students who will eventually graduate and probably leave the press? What are the benefits of an organized internship program? What about work-study students? Presses with a variety of experiences spoke to the benefits and difficulties associated with student workers and interns.
